This site is built on the Blogger platform, which is a free Google product available to those with a gmail address. Blogger and Google both serve cookies to track user behaviour. This is explained in a small pop up notice that appears whenever anyone accesses the site.

The Google notice reads:
"This site uses cookies from Google to deliver its services, to personalise ads and to analyse traffic. Information about your use of this site is shared with Google. By using this site, you agree to its use of cookies."

As part of the process, a cookie is also served to track the use of the Hertfordshire Walker pages. This is built into the Blogger system; none of the cookies are set by us.

This site requires no other information from visitors, because our aim is not to track you, but to share with you the collection of walks we have mapped in this area of south Hertfordshire, nothing else.

We even allow you to comment on the walks anonymously - although this does mean that all comments are pre-moderated (checked before they are published).

So we hope you enjoy our walks, despite all the cookies flying around.

If you try any of the walks on this site, please let us know what you thought of them. Comments are moderated, so what you write won't go live until the message has been read. Thanks
